North Carolina High School Volleyball - Lee County tips Triton

September 18, 2025: Erwin, NC 28339

The Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) volleyball held off the host Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC), 3-2 in Thursday's league bout.

The Yellow Jackets now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to West Johnston for a Carolina Pines 6A bout on Tuesday, September 23. Lee County will clash with a Wildcats team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Union Pines (Cameron, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Triton drops to 2-11 on the year. The Hawks travel to Southern Lee (Sanford, NC) to battle the Cavaliers in a Carolina Pines 6A match on Tuesday, September 23. The Cavaliers enter the match with a record of 12-3. Southern Lee won 3-1 in their recent league match against Western Harnett (Lillington, NC)
