Vidalia Indians (Vidalia, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA), 8-2 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brantley County for a 2A Region 3 challenge on Thursday, September 21. Vidalia will battle a Herons squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to Toombs County (Lyons, GA). The Herons record now stands at 5-9.

With the loss, Appling County falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA) to battle the Warriors in a 2A Region 3 challenge on Thursday, September 21. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 2-11. Tattnall County lost 6-2 in their recent league challenge against Pierce County (Blackshear, GA)
