The Polk County Slammers softball squad (Stromsburg, NE), was routed 7-3 in Thursday's non-league contest with the visiting St. Cecilia Bluehawks (Hastings, NE)

With the triumph, St. Cecilia improves its record to 16-2 on the year. The Bluehawks travel to Fillmore Central/Exeter-Milligan (Geneva, NE) to face the in a non-league contest on Thursday, September 19. The enter the contest with a record of 8-12. Fillmore Central/Exeter-Milligan lost 9-3 in their recent league contest against Central City (Central City, NE)

The Slammers now hold a 11-8 record. They play next when they host Centennial for a C District contest on Tuesday, September 24. Polk County will face a Broncos squad coming off a 12-6 non-league loss to Wayne (Wayne, NE). The Broncos record now stands at 3-16.
