The Slammers now sport a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Centura-Central Valley for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 2. Polk County will face a Diamonds squad coming off a 10-6 league win over St. Paul (St. Paul, NE). The Diamonds record now stands at 4-6.

With the loss, Pierce falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The Bluejays host Boone Central/Newman Grove (Albion, NE) to face the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 2.
