Georgia High School Volleyball - Pickens tips Union County

September 2, 2023: Blairsville, GA 30512

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA) and the host Union County Panthers (Blairsville, GA), saw Pickens's volleyball squad nip Union County by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Pickens upgrades its record to 13-9 on the year. The Dragons travel to Murray County (Chatsworth, GA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Tuesday, September 5. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Murray County lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against North Paulding (Dallas, GA)

The Panthers now own a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Fannin County for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 2. Union County will play a Rebels squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Copper Basin (Copperhill, TN). The Rebels record now stands at 9-8.
