The Bears (1-2) will now prepare for their battle against North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Knights enter the Western Foothills 4A/5A test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, North Lincoln nipped Huss (Gastonia, NC), 4-0, in a non-league test.

The Tigers now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Newton-Conover for a Western Foothills 4A/5A test on Thursday, September 4. Foard will clash with a Red Devils team coming off a 9-1 league win over West Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Red Devils record now stands at 7-1.
