The Hornets (12-1) will now prepare for their match against Tattnall County (Reidsville, GA). The Warriors come into the 2A Region 3 match with a 1-6 record. In their last match, Tattnall County was routed by Telfair County (McRae, GA), 5-3, in a non-league match.

Next, the Blue Devils play the Houston County Bears (Warner Robins, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, September 3. Tift County will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Bears come into the battle with a 7-5 record after their 4-1 league win over Coffee (Douglas, GA).
