Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Alice Coyotes (Alice, TX) and the host Miller Buccaneers (Corpus Christi, TX), observed Alice's volleyball team hold off Miller by a count of 3-2.

The Coyotes (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Corpus Christi Moody (Corpus Christi, TX). The Trojans enter the 5A Region IV District 29 contest with a 4-12 record. In their last battle, Corpus Christi Moody was edged by Flour Bluff (Corpus Christi, TX), 3-0, in a league battle.

The Buccaneers now own a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial for a 5A Region IV District 29 battle on Tuesday, September 9.
