The Jefferson Davis County Jaguars volleyball team (Bassfield, MS), was knocked off 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league contest with the visiting Sumrall Bobcats (Sumrall, MS)

The Bobcats (12-4) will now prepare for their contest against North Pike (Summit, MS). The Jaguars enter the Class 5A Region 3 contest with a 6-3 record. In their last contest, North Pike notched a victory over Laurel (Laurel, MS), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Jaguars battle the Raleigh Lions (Raleigh, MS) in a Class 3A Region 6 contest, on Thursday, September 4. Jefferson Davis County will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Lions enter the contest with a 3-6 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Mize (Mize, MS).
