The Whitehouse Wildcats volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Lufkin Panthers to 1 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now have a 16-8 record. They play next when they host Brownsboro for a non-league outing on Thursday, September 4. Whitehouse will play a Bears team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Edgewood (Edgewood, TX). The Bears record now stands at 7-14.

With the loss, Lufkin drops to 22-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX) to play the Dragons in a 5A Region II District 10 game on Friday, September 5. The Dragons go into the game with a record of 6-16. Nacogdoches lost 3-0 in their recent league game against Marshall (Marshall, TX)
