The Newman Central Catholic Comets volleyball squad (Sterling, IL), dropped 2-0 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Princeton Tigers (Princeton, IL)

With the win, Princeton improves its record to 4-3 on the season. The Tigers host Kewanee (Kewanee, IL) to encounter the Boilermakers in a Three Rivers contest on Thursday, September 4. The Boilermakers enter the contest with a record of 3-5. Kewanee lost 2-1 in their recent league contest against Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL)

In their next game, the Comets encounter the Mendota Trojans (Mendota, IL) in a Three Rivers battle, on Thursday, September 4. Newman Central Catholic will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Trojans go into the battle with a 2-5 record after their 2-0 league loss to Hall (Spring Valley, IL).
