Grovetown Warriors (Grovetown, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lakeside Panthers (Evans, GA), 2-1 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 11-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Evans for a 6A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, September 22. Grovetown will face a Knights squad coming off a 8-2 league loss to Effingham County (Springfield, GA). The Knights record now stands at 6-13.

With the loss, Lakeside falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Effingham County (Springfield, GA) to face the Rebels in a 6A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, September 22. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 13-2. Effingham County won 8-2 in their recent league challenge against Evans (Evans, GA)
