The Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA) volleyball nudged the visiting Pickens Dragons (Jasper, GA), 2-1 in Tuesday's league outing.

With the win, Lumpkin County upgrades its record to 15-12 on the year. The Indians travel to White County (Cleveland, GA) to face the Warriors in a 3A Area 7 outing on Tuesday, September 20. The Warriors go into the outing with a record of 20-11. White County lost 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Cherokee (Canton, GA)

The Dragons now own a 11-22 record. They play next when they travel to West Hall for a 3A Area 7 outing on Tuesday, September 27. Pickens will face a Spartans squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to East Hall (Gainesville, GA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-26.
