The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Park Hill South Panthers (Riverside, MO) and the visiting Lafayette Fighting Irish (St. Joseph, MO), observed Park Hill South's softball team get by Lafayette by a tally of 4-3.

The Panthers (5-10) will now prepare for their bout against Park Hill (Kansas City, MO). The Trojans go into the Class 4 District 16 bout with a 10-5 record. In their last bout, Park Hill tipped Webb City (Webb City, MO), 2-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Fighting Irish clash with the Fort Osage Indians (Independence, MO) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, September 21. Lafayette will attempt to advance on its 5-11 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 5-8 record after their 12-4 non-league loss to Central (St. Joseph, MO).
