St. Michael Warriors (Baton Rouge, LA) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting Notre Dame Pioneers (Crowley, LA), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors (14-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Catholic - N.I. (New Iberia, LA). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Catholic - N.I. was nudged by St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Pioneers face the St. Mary's Dominican (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, September 20. Notre Dame will attempt to advance on its 5-6 season record. The go into the test with a 6-0 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Dutchtown (Geismar, LA).
