Pine Eagle Spartans (Halfway, OR) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball team overcome the host Wallowa Cougars (Wallowa, OR), 3-0 in a league challenge.

The Spartans (1-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Joseph (Joseph, OR). The Eagles come into the 1A Old Oregon challenge with a 13-3 record. In their last challenge, Joseph lost by Powder Valley (North Powder, OR), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars play the Union Bobcats (Union, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon game, on Saturday, September 20. Wallowa will attempt to advance on its 0-15 season record. The Bobcats go into the game with a 6-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Pine Eagle (Halfway, OR).
