In Thursday's non-league battle, the host James River Knights volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Patrick County Cougars.

The Knights (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Riverheads (Staunton, VA). The Gladiators come into the non-league battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Riverheads achieved victory over Buffalo Gap (Swoope, VA), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Cougars clash with the Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 26. Patrick County will attempt to advance on its 8-5 season record.
