The Essex Trojans volleyball team (Tappahannock, VA), went down 3-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the visiting Northumberland Indians (Heathsville, VA)

The Indians (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Middlesex (Saluda, VA). The Chargers come into the non-league challenge with a 9-2 record. In their last challenge, Middlesex defeated West Point (West Point, VA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Trojans encounter the Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA) in a Northern Neck challenge, on Tuesday, September 26. Essex will attempt to move on its 3-3 season record. The Drifters come into the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 3-0 league loss to Rappahannock (Warsaw, VA).
