The Pearl Pirates volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Meridian Wildcats to 0 in the Pirates non-league victory on Thursday.
The Pirates now possess a 4-22 record. They put it on the line next when they host Brandon for a Class 7 Region 3 game on Tuesday, September 26. Pearl will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league win over Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 31-5.
The Wildcats (4-14) will now prepare for their game against Quitman (Quitman, MS). The Panthers enter the non-league game with a 0-12 record. In their last game, Quitman was dropped by Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS), 3-0, in a league game.
