In Saturday's non-league match, the host Fort Osage Indians softball team scored a nice 10-1 win over the Lafayette Fighting Irish.

The Indians (6-8) will now prepare for their match against Truman (Independence, MO). The Patriots come into the non-league match with a 4-15 record. In their last match, Truman notched a victory over Raytown (Raytown, MO), 12-0, in a league match.

In their next game, the Fighting Irish battle the Cameron Dragons (Cameron, MO) in a Class 3 District 16 match, on Monday, September 23. Lafayette will attempt to better on its 5-12 season record. The Dragons come into the match with a 6-6 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Chillicothe (Chillicothe, MO).
