South Carolina High School Volleyball - Westwood over Irmo

Westwood Redhawks (Blythewood, SC) followers went home happy Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Irmo Yellowjackets (Columbia, SC), 3-0 in a league game.

The Redhawks now possess a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Richland Northeast for a AAAA Region 5 game on Tuesday, September 27. Westwood will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Ridge View (Columbia, SC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 0-5.

The Yellowjackets (2-7) will now prepare for their game against Lugoff-Elgin (Lugoff, SC). The Demons enter the AAAA Region 5 game with a 7-7 record. In their last game, Lugoff-Elgin defeated A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC), 3-0, in a league game.
