In Monday's league challenge, the visiting Western Christian Pioneers volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Gervais Cougars.

The Pioneers (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Colton (Colton, OR). The Vikings come into the 2A Tri-River challenge with a 1-6 record. In their last challenge, Colton lost by Sheridan (Sheridan, OR), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars play the Sheridan Spartans (Sheridan, OR) in a 3A PacWest challenge, on Wednesday, September 24. Gervais will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Spartans go into the game with a 2-6 record after their 3-1 league win over Colton (Colton, OR).
