Ohio High School Football - Fairmont nips Springfield

September 23, 2022: Springfield, OH 45503

In Friday's league match, the visiting Fairmont Firebirds football squad scored a close 24-21 victory over the Springfield Wildcats.

In their next game, the Firebirds clash with the Miamisburg Vikings (Miamisburg, OH) in a Greater Western Ohio match, on Friday, September 30. Fairmont will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Vikings enter the match with a 3-3 record after their 42-26 league win over Northmont (Clayton, OH).

The Wildcats (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Springboro (Springboro, OH). The Panthers enter the Greater Western Ohio match with a 5-1 record. In their last match, Springboro held off Centerville (Centerville, OH), 21-17, in a league match.
