The Newton Eagles volleyball team (Newton, TX), was dropped 3-0 in Friday's league challenge with the host Huntington Red Devils (Huntington, TX)

The Red Devils (19-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Hemphill (Hemphill, TX). The Hornets enter the 3A Region III District 21 challenge with a 4-13 record. In their last challenge, Hemphill was dropped by Central Heights (Nacogdoches, TX), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Diboll Lumberjacks (Diboll, TX) in a 3A Region III District 21 challenge, on Tuesday, September 27. Newton will attempt to move on its 0-7 season record.
