Fans at Monday's league battle between the Northwestern Tigers (Kokomo, IN) and the visiting Peru Tigers (Peru, IN), saw Northwestern's soccer squad hold off Peru by a count of 2-1.

The Tigers (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Marion (Marion, IN). The Giants enter the non-league battle with a 3-6 record. In their last battle, Marion was edged by Kokomo (Kokomo, IN), 1-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Tigers battle the Wabash Apaches (Wabash, IN) in a Three Rivers battle, on Tuesday, September 24. Peru will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Apaches enter the battle with a 2-9 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Blackford (Hartford City, IN).
