Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) and the host East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC), observed Carson's volleyball team top East Rowan by a count of 2-0.

The Cougars (14-1) will now prepare for their contest against West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The Falcons go into the non-league battle with a 8-4 record. In their last battle, West Rowan achieved victory over Concord (Concord, NC), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Mustangs now own a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northwest Cabarrus for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 25. East Rowan will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Concord (Concord, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 5-6.
