Southwest DeKalb Panthers (Decatur, GA) boosters were pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Cross Keys Phoenix (Atlanta, GA), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Panthers (14-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Lithonia (Lithonia, GA). The Bulldogs come into the 4A Area 5 challenge with a 0-11 record. In their last challenge, Lithonia was beaten by St. Pius X Catholic (Atlanta, GA), 2-0, in a league test.

The Phoenix now own a 1-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tucker for a 4A Area 5 test on Wednesday, October 1. Cross Keys will face a Tigers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Chamblee (Chamblee, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 4-16.
