In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Deary Mustangs volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Nezperce Nighthawks.

The Mustangs (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Genesee (Genesee, ID). The Bulldogs go into the 1A Whitepine test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, Genesee nudged Orofino (Orofino, ID), 3-1, in a non-league test.

The Nighthawks now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Timberline for a 1A Whitepine test on Wednesday, September 24. Nezperce will face a Spartans squad coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Lapwai (Lapwai, ID). The Spartans record now stands at 7-3.
