The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the St. Anthony Saints (Long Beach, CA) and the visiting Valley Christian Defenders (Cerritos, CA), saw St. Anthony's volleyball squad nip Valley Christian by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, St. Anthony upgrades its record to 11-7 on the year. The Saints host La Salle (Pasadena, CA) to play the Lancers in a Del Rey bout on Tuesday, September 27. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 2-19. La Salle lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Saint Joseph (Lakewood, CA)

The Defenders now own a 15-10 record. They play next when they travel to Cerritos for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 24. Valley Christian will play a Dons squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Sonora (La Habra, CA). The Dons record now stands at 11-4.
