The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) and the visiting Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA), observed Appling County's softball team get by Crisp County by a tally of 6-0.

The Pirates (16-1) will now prepare for their bout against Pinewood Christian (Bellville, GA). The Patriots go into the non-league bout with a 17-7 record. In their last bout, Pinewood Christian tipped Bulloch Academy (Statesboro, GA), 13-8, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA) in a 2A Region 3 bout, on Wednesday, September 25. Crisp County will attempt to advance on its 5-9 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 9-9 record after their 8-4 non-league loss to Toombs County (Lyons, GA).
