Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC) and the visiting Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), saw West Caldwell's soccer squad triumph over Draughn by a count of 10-1.

The Warriors (6-4) will now prepare for their battle against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Hilltoppers come into the Western Piedmont 3A/4A match with a 3-7 record. In their last match, R-S Central was overwhelmed by Hibriten (Lenoir, NC), 6-0, in a league match.

The Wildcats now sport a 0-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Chase for a Western Piedmont 3A/4A match on Monday, September 29. Draughn will meet a Trojans team coming off a 4-0 league win over East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 4-5.
