The Tigers (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY). The Hornets enter the non-league contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Magoffin County was tipped by Lee County (Beattyville, KY), 3-2, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the June Buchanan Crusaders (Pippa Passes, KY) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 26. Buckhorn will attempt to improve on its 3-16 season record. The Crusaders go into the battle with a 4-11 record after their 3-0 league loss to Jenkins (Jenkins, KY).
