In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the host North Lenoir Hawks volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the South Lenoir Blue Devils.
The Hawks (12-1) will now prepare for their test against SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC). The Cougars go into the Three Rivers 4A test with a 7-6 record. In their last test, SouthWest Edgecombe achieved victory over North Johnston (Kenly, NC), 3-1, in a league test.
The Blue Devils now own a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Duplin for a East Central 3A/4A test on Thursday, September 25. South Lenoir will face a Panthers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Pender (Burgaw, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 13-2.
