Next, the Buccaneers face the Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A contest, on Thursday, September 26. Laney will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Vikings enter the contest with a 7-1 record after their 4-2 league win over Topsail (Hampstead, NC).

The Trojans (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Ashley (Wilmington, NC). The Screaming Eagle enter the Mideastern 3A/4A contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Ashley held off South Brunswick (Southport, NC), 5-0, in a league contest.
