Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Union Academy Cardinals (Monroe, NC) and the host Albemarle Bulldogs (Albemarle, NC), saw Union Academy's volleyball team overcome Albemarle by a tally of 2-0.

The Cardinals (8-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Academy of Technology & Arts (Monroe, NC). The Cougars enter the non-league challenge with a 3-7 record. In their last challenge, Central Academy of Technology & Arts was beaten by Anson (Wadesboro, NC), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the North Rowan Cavaliers (Spencer, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 29. Albemarle will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record.
