Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Fort Hill Sentinels (Cumberland, MD) and the visiting Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD), saw Fort Hill's soccer squad knock off Mountain Ridge by a count of 2-0.
The Sentinels (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Hampshire (Romney, WV). The Trojans enter the non-league battle with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, Hampshire tipped Petersburg (Petersburg, WV), 10-1, in a league battle.
In their next game, the Miners meet the University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, September 30. Mountain Ridge will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Hawks come into the match with a 3-9 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Brooke (Wellsburg, WV).
