With the triumph, Pierce County improves its record to 15-7 on the year. The Bears travel to Cook (Adel, GA) to face the Hornets in a 2A Region 3 contest on Tuesday, September 30. The Hornets enter the contest with a record of 18-2. Cook lost 5-1 in their recent league contest against Appling County (Baxley, GA)

The Cougars now hold a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Fitzgerald for a non-league contest on Monday, September 29. Crisp County will face a Purple Hurricane squad coming off a 18-0 league loss to Thomasville (Thomasville, GA). The Purple Hurricane record now stands at 3-24.
