The Elizabeth Cardinals softball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Sand Creek Scorpions to 0 in the Cardinals league win on Thursday.

Next, the Cardinals meet the Lewis-Palmer Rangers (Monument, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 26. Elizabeth will attempt to upgrade on its 16-2 season record. The Rangers enter the challenge with a 2-15 record after their 12-2 league loss to Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO).

The Scorpions (3-12) will now prepare for their challenge against The Classical Academy (Colorado Springs, CO). The Titans enter the 4A/3A CSML North challenge with a 13-5 record. In their last challenge, The Classical Academy was routed by Widefield (Colorado Springs, CO), 5-2, in a non-league challenge.
