North Carolina High School Volleyball - Mitchell Polk County

Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Polk County improves its record to 10-5 on the season. The Wolverines host Community School of Davidson (Davidson, NC) to meet the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Friday, September 26. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 13-2. Community School of Davidson won 3-0 in their recent league test against Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC)

The Mountaineers now sport a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Owen for a Western Highlands 2A/3A test on Tuesday, September 30. Mitchell will face a Warhorses squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Avery County (Newland, NC). The Warhorses record now stands at 14-1.
