Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Monroe Golden Tornadoes (Albany, GA), 17-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 16-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Thomasville for a 3A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, September 27. Crisp County will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 22-6 league win over Dougherty (Albany, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-5.

With the loss, Monroe falls to 2-9 on the campaign. The Golden tornadoes travel to Columbus (Columbus, GA) to battle the Blue Devils in a 3A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, September 27. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 13-9. Columbus lost 6-3 in their recent non-league challenge against LaGrange (LaGrange, GA)
