In Tuesday's league battle, the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the East Wilkes Cardinals.

The Buckin' Elks (3-14) will now prepare for their battle against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams come into the Northwest 1A battle with a 1-14 record. In their last battle, Starmount lost by Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Cardinals clash with the South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC) in a Northwest 1A battle, on Thursday, September 28. East Wilkes will attempt to advance on its 3-12 season record. The Sauras come into the battle with a 6-9 record after their 3-2 league loss to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC).
