In Friday's league match, the Flour Bluff Hornets (Corpus Christi, TX) volleyball squad overcame the host Miller Buccaneers (Corpus Christi, TX), by a count of 3-0.

In their next game, the Hornets encounter the Ray Texans (Corpus Christi, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 29 battle, on Tuesday, September 30. Flour Bluff will attempt to improve on its 30-7 season record. The Texans go into the battle with a 7-18 record after their 3-0 league loss to Alice (Alice, TX).
