Vidalia Indians (Vidalia, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pierce County Bears (Blackshear, GA), 7-0 in a league challenge.

The Indians now own a 12-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tattnall County for a 2A Region 3 challenge on Thursday, September 29. Vidalia will face a Warriors squad coming off a 5-3 league loss to Toombs County (Lyons, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 4-12.

With the loss, Pierce County falls to 11-9 on the campaign. The Bears host Brantley County (Nahunta, GA) to face the Herons in a 2A Region 3 challenge on Thursday, September 29. The Herons enter the challenge with a record of 12-11. Brantley County lost 4-3 in their recent league challenge against Appling County (Baxley, GA)
