Beatrice Orangemen (Beatrice, NE) fans exited the stadium satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their softball team tip the host Malcolm Clippers (Malcolm, NE), 5-1 in a non-league match.

The Orangemen (24-4) will now prepare for their match against Ashland-Greenwood (Ashland, NE). The Bluejays come into the non-league match with a 12-9 record. In their last match, Ashland-Greenwood nipped Ralston (Ralston, NE), 2-0, in a non-league game.

The Clippers now own a 11-11 record. They play next when they host Plattsmouth for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 30. Malcolm will play a Blue Devils squad coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Beatrice (Beatrice, NE). The Blue Devils record now stands at 9-15.
