The Nebraska City Pioneers triumphed over the host Plattsmouth Blue Devils softball squad by a count of 9-3 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Pioneers meet the Malcolm Clippers (Malcolm, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 27. Nebraska City will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Clippers enter the challenge with a 11-10 record after their 11-3 non-league loss to Platteview (Springfield, NE).

The Blue Devils (9-16) will now prepare for their battle against Malcolm (Malcolm, NE). The Clippers come into the non-league battle with a 12-12 record. In their last battle, Malcolm nipped Nebraska City (Nebraska City, NE), 10-9, in a non-league battle.
