The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the R.J. Reynolds Demons (Winston-Salem, NC) and the host Parkland Mustangs (Winston-Salem, NC), saw R.J. Reynolds's volleyball squad beat Parkland by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, R.J. Reynolds upgrades its record to 8-9 on the year. The Demons host Glenn (Kernersville, NC) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 3. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 4-12.
The Mustangs now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to East Forsyth for a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 3. Parkland will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-7.
