The Rancho Cotate Cougars held off the host Piner Prospectors volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Thursday's league test.

The Cougars now have a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ukiah for a test on Tuesday, October 3. Rancho Cotate will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 2-0 league win over Healdsburg (Healdsburg, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-4.

The Prospectors (0-1) will now prepare for their test against St. Vincent de Paul (Petaluma, CA). The Mustangs enter the test with a 4-9 record.
