Fans at Saturday's league battle between the Gadsden Panthers (Anthony, NM) and the visiting Organ Mountain Knights (Las Cruces, NM), saw Gadsden's soccer squad hold off Organ Mountain by a count of 2-1.

The Panthers (10-2) will now prepare for their battle against Centennial (Las Cruces, NM). The Hawks enter the 5A District 3 battle with a 12-0 record. In their last battle, Centennial tipped Mayfield (Las Cruces, NM), 5-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Knights confront the Las Cruces Bulldawgs (Las Cruces, NM) in a 5A District 3 battle, on Tuesday, October 1. Organ Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Bulldawgs enter the battle with a 5-7 record after their 1-0 league win over Gadsden (Anthony, NM).
