The Panthers now possess a 9-13 record. They play next when they travel to Harding County for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 28. Timber Lake will clash with a Ranchers team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Belfield (Belfield, ND). The Ranchers record now stands at 12-1.

With the loss, Newell drops to 6-5 on the campaign. The Irrigators host McIntosh (McIntosh, SD) to clash with the Tigers in a B Region 8 bout on Tuesday, October 1.
