In Wednesday's non-league contest, the St. James Sharks (Murrells Inlet, SC) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Waccamaw Warriors (Pawley's Island, SC), by a margin of 2-0.

Next up, the Sharks face the Socastee Braves (Myrtle Beach, SC) in a AAAAA Region VI contest, on Thursday, September 30. St. James will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Braves go into the contest with a 10-10 record after their 3-1 league win over Sumter (Sumter, SC).

With the loss, Waccamaw moves to 7-4 on the year. The Warriors travel to Georgetown (Georgetown, SC) to face the Bulldogs in a AAA Region VII contest on Tuesday, October 5. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a record of 2-6. Georgetown lost 3-0 in their recent league contest against Aynor (Aynor, SC)
